Get To Know More About Abu Dhabi Hotels

By Sunil Sajnani

Abu Dhabi has an inherent advantage over many destinations due to its island location. This makes the waterfront readily accessible and for that reason you will find several Abu Dhabi hotels that have been created right on the Persian Gulf front.

You will enjoy luxurious stays at these hotels overlooking the beautiful, clean Gulf.

What I like about the Abu Dhabi water front hotels is that there is little, if any risk of dirty sea insects that you generally find in other countries such as Australia and South America.

But if you are still paranoid you can stay in and enjoy the hotel pools which have an amazing in built temperature control system.

Because of Abu Dhabi's increasing popularity and future plans, most major international hotel operators like Hilton and Marriott are looking to create hotel properties in Abu Dhabi and take advantage of the rising tourist activity.

But possibly the biggest reason is that Abu Dhabi doesn't have the abundance of accommodation like Dubai does (as of 2008 at least). Combine that with heavy investment in tourism and you're certainly looking at a worthwhile solution. So if you have some money go construct a hotel in Abu Dhabi ;-)

A perfect instance of opulence

The completely wireless, government-owned $3 billion dollar Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi has 394 bedrooms with nightly rates in the range of six hundred dollars to twelve thousand dollars. That is some serious Burj Al Arab-esq money. The palace has a distinct floor reserved for Arab royalty and sits on a 250-acre ground.

Every guest is provided with a handheld device to control the television, stereo system and thirty distinct lights in every room. This device is worth $2,500 alone. It has an 8-inch color screen that I am not sure what you really need it for.

I know what you could do with it, just do not think it is necessary. Oh well, but you can make use of this device to arrange a wake-up call, download a movie, record your favorite TV show or call for hotel service.

I have read that the hotel has top notch security, with no fewer than 16 firewalls, secure telephones and 3.5TB of secure storage. Wow! A geek's paradise. I should definitely save money so that I can spend a night the next time I head to Abu Dhabi.
